We are in search of a proactive NetSecOps Engineer specialist to bolster our team, focusing on our Web Authentication & Authorization Platform. The ideal candidate will boast a robust background in network security, performance, operations, and web technologies. They will be tasked with implementing, maintaining, and monitoring security measures to safeguard the infrastructure and applications of the platform. In this capacity, collaboration with cross-functional teams will be pivotal to ensure optimal security and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, configure, and sustain network security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, access control systems, and VPNs for DAF Digital Platforms.
- Monitor and scrutinize network traffic, logs, and security events to pinpoint potential threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents. Provide actionable recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and cross-functional teams to embed security best practices across the development lifecycle. Ensure alignment of security controls with company policies and industry standards.
- Engage in incident response activities, encompassing investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery. Offer post-incident analysis and recommendations to prevent recurrence, including standby services for incident resolution.
- Develop, refine, and enhance security policies, procedures, and guidelines to uphold the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Web Authentication & Authorization Platform.
- Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration tests to unearth vulnerabilities. Remediate identified issues and validate the efficacy of security controls.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, threats, and technologies in network security and operations. Propose new tools and techniques to bolster the platform's security stance.
- Provide guidance and assistance to internal teams and external customers on network security and operational best practices. Aid in troubleshooting and resolving network-related issues.
- Create and manage documentation related to network security architecture, configuration, and operational procedures. Deliver training sessions to team members as required.
- Actively participate in projects and autonomously manage small projects. Ensure adherence to security and operational requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Functie-eisen
- Bachelor's degree in ICT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; industry certifications such as CCNA, CISSP, Ethical Hacking, or CompTIA Security+ are advantageous.
- Profound grasp of network security principles, protocols, and best practices, including hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and access control systems.
- Familiarity with web security principles, protocols, and standards like OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Essential experience with BIG IP F5 LTM; willingness to learn or experience with BIG IP F5 APM.
- Proficient in network troubleshooting, analysis, and monitoring tools such as Wireshark.
- Exposure to agile methodologies, Scrum, and/or other agile frameworks is beneficial.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, adept at conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of synthesizing data and insights to inform security and operational decisions.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment, adept at managing multiple tasks and priorities concurrently.
- Self-motivated with a keen sense of ownership and accountability, capable of working autonomously or as part of a team.
- Business proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Dutch is advantageous.
