A vacancy for the function Manufacturing Engineer I has arisen within our Manufacturing and

Process Engineering department. A Process Engineer is responsible for the translation from

product design to our manufacturing process. A proactive role is expected in the initiation

and implementation of production improvement processes.

Key accountabilities of the role are:

 Coordination of projects focused on the implementation or optimization of production

processes;

 Simultaneous Engineering in collaboration with Product Engineering and Quality;

 Work preparation of new or modified products from Product Engineering;

 Continuous improvement on SQDCME;

 Supporting production in the case of process-related disruptions;

 Innovation through production process automation (Industry 4.0).

Functie-eisen

The ideal candidate will possess:

 A technical bachelor degree (preferably Automotive-, Mechanical, Electrical

Engineering, Technical business administration);

 Knowledge of, or affinity with Lean Manufacturing and/or Demand Flow Technology;

 Affinity with software, electrical systems and/or data analyses;

Competenties

 Knowledge of English language written and spoken;

 It's a must to speak and write Dutch fluently

 Analytical and innovative skills.

Full command of the Dutch language is a requirement for this role. If you do not have this command, it is not necessary to respond to this vacancy.

.Employment conditions

You will immediately be employed by Hyster-Yale. Hyster-Yale follows the metal and electrical collective labor agreement.

You can count on the following employment conditions:

Depending on your years of working and education the salary will be max 4.644 gross a month month (including 8% holiday pay)

27 vacation days + 13 ADV days

Possibility to sell 6 ADV days per year, being 2.3% salary

Possibility to buy (plus 10) or sell (minus 6) days of leave

Hyster Yale in Nijmegen designs, assembles, sells, and supplies service to forklift trucks (8-52 tons) under the brand names Hyster and Yale. Hyster Yale is an economically stable company with growth plans for the future. At the location in Nijmegen, 300 people currently work in assembly, 100 at the Big Truck Development Center (BTDC), and more than 250 at the After Market organization.

Within Hyster-Yale there are 4 development centers worldwide, namely 2 warehouse equipment (forklift trucks, reach truck), counter balance (3 ton - 7 ton series) and Big trucks (8 ton - 52 ton). System Group is responsible for the design and development of (part) systems and determines the development strategy for the relevant systems, taking into account the financial impact (purchasing costs) and feasibility for the 3 development centers. We work in a matrix structure (worldwide) with vehicle teams on development projects for new trucks and projects to improve current products. In addition, we are working on designs that are tailored to special customer wishes.

System Group manages employees in India who carry out certain specialist simulations and detailed designs. System Group is divided into different system groups, each with its own area of focus. Front End, Chassis & Structures (mast/lifting system, chassis, loaded structures - such as axles, subframes), Operator Systems (cabin, driver's seat, Interface design (ergonomics & interaction with display) comfort systems - joysticks, pedals, air conditioning), Hydraulics (hydraulic systems, such as pumps, valve blocks, cylinders), Powertrain (such as engines and gearboxes), Electrical & Electronics, Software & Controls.
