Are you a hands-on researcher passionate about the science behind nutrition? FrieslandCampina is looking for an enthusiastic Research Analyst to join our R&D Nutrition Team. In this role, you will work in our state-of-the-art life science laboratory in Wageningen, delivering the scientific evidence needed to substantiate the health benefits of our ingredients and products.
You will play a vital role in bridging the gap between product development and health science by performing in vitro digestions and cell-based modeling.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and prepare complex experiments involving in vitro digestion models and cell cultures.
- Perform cell-based biochemical assays, ELISAs, and manage cell lines (including airway, gut, and immune cells).
- Independently manage, analyze, and interpret data sets; documenting all outcomes in high-quality technical reports.
- Ensure the laboratory functions smoothly, taking initiative on organizational tasks such as lab safety and equipment maintenance.
- Work closely with life science researchers and cross-disciplinary teams across FrieslandCampina to support global R&D projects.

We are seeking a structured, curious, and flexible professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree (HBO/HLO) in Life Sciences, Food Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of practical experience in a laboratory setting.
- Cell culturing, (cell-based) biochemical assays, and ELISAs.
- Experience In vitro digestion models, microbiology, and qPCR/dPCR.
- Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office tools. Experience with Power BI is a significant advantage.
Competenties
- Professional fluency in English is mandatory; Dutch proficiency is a plus.
- A "hands-on" mentality with a result-oriented approach. You should be comfortable working independently while being a proactive team player.
- Strong oral and written communication skills for reporting and team collaboration.
