Every day, our dedicated team of over 600 employees works together to produce the highest quality infant formula and infant food ingredients, ensuring babies worldwide can grow up healthy. This makes Beilen one of Frieslandcampina largest and most crucial production sites.

The QA Release Specialist is a pivotal temporary position focused on continuously improving the QA Release process and expertly managing major quality issues within the QA Release team. You will act as the essential link between QA and operational departments, leading root cause analysis (RCA) and driving the implementation of effective preventive actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize complex data and trend analyses to identify key quality issues and conduct thorough gap assessments.
  • Develop robust action plans with measurable KPIs to enhance quality processes.
  • Create detailed management reports and actively participate in high-impact improvement projects.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all major quality issues, leading or participating in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and SAAB sessions.
  • Prepare expert proposals for handling deviating items and sign final Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for customers.
  • Ensure rigorous quality control by supporting production meetings and serving as a key backup for the QA Release Coordinator.
  • Draft essential reports (FTR, RTFT, Quality Notifications) and provide critical advice based on analytical data.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and ensure effective information flow to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Coach and support other team members on quality protocols and issue resolution.
  • You will be part of a 4-person QA Release team and report directly to the QA Manager Processing.

Functie-eisen

  • HBO (Higher Professional Education) in Food Technology, HLO (Higher Laboratory Education), or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience in the food, dairy, or pharmaceutical industry, with a strong preference for experience in infant nutrition/baby food standards. Laboratory studies are a plus.
  • Experienced user of SAP-QM (Quality Management) and Power-BI.
  • An excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written, is mandatory.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data and derive actionable insights.
  • A self-starter who can effectively influence and drive cross-departmental alignment.
  • Strong understanding of product, process, quality systems, microbiology, and allergen management.

Competenties

  • The ability to interpret complex data to identify trends, conduct gap assessments, and define root causes of major quality deviations.
  • Managing major quality issues and initiating quality improvement actions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (in both Dutch and English)
  • Proactive and persuasive in advising stakeholders, presenting complex analytical data, and securing buy-in for corrective and preventive actions.
  • Deep functional knowledge of product, process, quality, microbiology, and allergen management, specifically in the context of highly stringent baby food and infant formula standards.
  • Meticulous attention to detail for accurate quality reporting
