At Philips Electronic Systems & IoT, a part of Product and Systems Engineering within I&S, we are a trusted engineering solutions partner for all Philips clusters, businesses, functions, and markets, as well as for selected external customers. The Connectivity Software, Test and Verification group is a group of highly experienced and knowledgeable engineers specialized in providing high quality connectivity solutions. We work on connectivity software in products ranging from Oral and Personal health care devices, connected defibrillators, to connected health monitoring devices, and many, many more.
To fill the continuous demand of our customers, we are looking for an experienced mobile software engineer who can support us in developing and releasing new connectivity solutions to our customers.
Functie-eisen
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
- 5+ years of experience in mobile software development
- Expertise in native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) development
- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform for shared codebases
- Strong understanding of memory management approaches on iOS vs Android
- Proficiency in modern parallel programming paradigms (Async/Await, Coroutines)
- Dedication to Test-Driven Development and clean architecture
- Solid object-oriented design skills and knowledge of SOLID principles
Familiarity with:
- BLE and Wi-Fi connectivity, OS abstraction layers
- Networking protocols (ISO/OSI, MQTT)
- CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, Docker
- Build tools (Gradle), package managers (CocoaPods)
- Software quality tools, profilers, style checkers
- Clean coding
- Experience with medical device standards (ISO13485, IEC62304) is a strong plus
- Experience in good documentation of the development of software

Arbeidsvoorwaarden
Primary employment conditions
- A monthly salary up to €6400
- A 13th month payment, pro-rated periodically
- 8.33% holiday allowance calculated on 12 monthly salaries
- Pension Plus scheme (build-up from day 1)
- 5% ADV allowance
- Net €750,- to set up your home workplace
- 25 vacation days per year based on 40 hours
