Drive the future of automotive technology forward. As a Systems Engineer within the Vehicle Electrics & Electronics team, you take ownership of critical low voltage vehicle control systems. Your expertise enables the seamless integration of safety and comfort features, directly impacting the driving experience of tomorrow.
Job Description
In this role, you operate at the heart of vehicle engineering. You ensure the continued engineering support and enablement of low voltage vehicle control systems, specifically focusing on the Cabin Switch Module (CSM) and Airbag (AB) systems.
Working closely with the Lead Engineer and Supervisor, you act as the technical lynchpin between client stakeholders and external system suppliers. You do not just monitor; you actively steer the development process. You translate complex technical requirements into functional realities.
Your impact:
- Align technical requirements: You define and align diagnostics and functional software behavior to ensure systems meet high-quality standards.
- Software & System Support: You create and release parameter files into clients systems and provide comprehensive software support for one or more systems.
- Lead Engineering: You take the lead within the Systems Engineering (SE) team regarding the electrical development features of the systems.
- Stakeholder Management: You lead technical discussions with both clients internal stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring full alignment on project goals, requirements, and deliverables (such as TRS-CS, SSO1, DFMEA, and RVP).
- Hands-on Problem Solving: You support releases and practical investigations, finding resolutions for FRACAS, eWarp, and EPN issues. This includes hands-on, on-site support at the Research Centre, Service, or Manufacturing facilities.
Functie-eisen
You are an expert in your field with a strong technical background in automotive engineering. To make a flying start in this position, you bring the following hard skills:
- Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Automotive Experience: Demonstrable experience with Automotive Control systems.
- Communication Protocols: Hands-on experience with CAN communication and diagnostic protocols.
- Tooling: Proficiency in using Vector CAN tools, specifically CanAlyzer and CanAPE.
- Language: Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
Competenties
At Yacht, we believe that your personality makes the difference. To excel in this dynamic environment where intellectual property often lies with the supplier, you possess the following competencies:
- Communicative: You navigate easily between different stakeholders, clearly articulating technical challenges and solutions.
- Proactive: You do not wait for instructions; you identify bottlenecks in the development process and report status and progress to management autonomously.
- Analytical: You quickly understand complex system dependencies and documentation requirements (diagnostic documentation, Pre-QV tooling).
- Collaborative: You believe in the power of on-site collaboration to achieve the best alignment and results.
