For the Chihuahua site in Mexico we are urgently looking for an experienced Site Director who has experience in making and scaling up the production of electrical cabling. In this role you are responsible for the cables being produced correctly, taking into account the quality requirements and in accordance with the laws and regulations that apply in the aviation industry. In addition to costs, quality, delivery times, etc. you ensure improvement processes in the entire process from A to Z. You lead a team of 30 to 40 FTE with the intention of expanding it to 200 FTE.
Functie-eisen
· Minimum of 10 years’ proven track record of relevant (wiring) business experience
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or similar).
· Proven track record in the role of a site leader/site director or similar roles in the setup of a new site
· Previous and significant experience in the start-up of a site including leadership
· Ability to lead a team of engineers.
· Experience and proven track record in wiring harness manufacturing for the aerospace sector is a must.
· A deep understanding of metric-driven performance management.
· The demonstrated ability to influence across functional lines within the company and supplier organizations.
· Ability to lead, coach, and mentor highly skilled and experienced direct reports
· A track record of Leadership and direction through effective communications, building effective teams
· Evidence of leading a site governed through a Business Management System (BMS)
· Fluent English language communication (verbal & written)
· Strong project management and leadership skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Competenties
Desirable:
· Second or advanced degree in Business
· Experience working with a Lean Operating Model / Production System
· Lean or Six Sigma certification by a reputable certifying body or benchmark company
· Aerospace supply chain experience
· Strong knowledge of the government contracting process and proprietary contracts development
· Requirement: Schedule flexibility, willing and able to travel (valid visa & passport)
