As a Testbed & Auxiliaries Support Engineer, you will work in the state-of-the-art Engine Test Center (ETC).
With 45 specialized test benches, the ETC is the heart of the development activities for Heavy Duty combustion engines and exhaust aftertreatment systems.
What you will do:
- Independently or as part of a team, you will carry out repairs, updates, or improvements to engine test benches and auxiliary equipment in a structured manner.
- Ensure that the available auxiliary equipment and machines operate efficiently.
- Support requested engine tests in a broad sense with a dynamic multidisciplinary team.
- Provide drawings/designs and/or advice for new testing equipment.
- Inspect new equipment from suppliers and integrate it into the engine test benches.
- Gain knowledge of the necessary software programs required for your tasks.
- Engage the appropriate companies for support when needed and maintain close contact with them.
Functie-eisen
- Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field.
- Proficiency in English is a must (Dutch and German are a plus).
- You are a communicative team player who is also independent and proactive.
- Solid knowledge of Windows/Office applications.
- Ability to read and create technical drawings.
- You have the knowledge to both troubleshoot issues and support new designs.
- Possession of an NEN3140/9140 certificate is a plus.
- You can work in a dynamic, sometimes stressful environment with shifting priorities and have strong analytical skills.
- You are an enthusiastic, eager, hands-on worker with a solution-oriented mindset.
