Currently, we are looking for a Financial Controller for ASML. Based in Eindhoven Netherlands.

ASML is optimizing our people, processes, and information flow to drive growth and achieve ambitious business objectives, particularly in the era of automation, digitalization, and artificial intelligence. As part of our transformation to ASML Business Services (ABS), we are seeking a Financial Controller to enhance our Finance Operations team. This role focuses on System and UF Sales accounting, driving process improvements, and supporting ERP system transitions. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance and facilitating management decision-making through world-class end-to-end Record-To-Report processes.

Position in the Organization

The Financial Controller - Finance Operations Sales Accounting is part of Finance Operations Europe within ASML Business Services. The team supports ASML's wide accounting processes, providing management reporting and ensuring external compliance.

Team Responsibility

In collaboration with the team, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring appropriate accounting in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory requirements.
  • Overseeing the proper and timely execution of sales-related accounting for ASML products (systems and options), and maintaining and controlling related balance sheets.
  • Providing support for accounting and reporting related to complex contracts.
  • Monitoring the execution, progress, and balance positions related to volume price agreements using SAP, Spotfire, Mendix, and SAPRAR tooling.
  • Performing period end close activities.
  • Proactively seeking continuous improvements in activity execution to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Ensuring compliance and performing internal (SOx) control activities.
  • Developing and demonstrating a strong understanding of sales processes, reflected in reports, analysis, and commentaries provided.
  • Serving as the key user for certain processes and systems.


We are looking for an ambitious and talented Financial with the following:

  • You have 6+ years relevant experience in finance, preferably in a financial control or auditing environment;
  • A Master’s degree in Finance, Controlling, Economics or Accounting;
  • Experience in working in an international, multinational environment. Having an audit experience in one of big 4 audit firms is a plus;
  • Experience with executing SOx controls;
  • Knowledge and experience with US GAAP and IFRS;
  • Expert user in Microsoft Excel and experience in SAP;
  • Experience in process mapping and process redesign.
  • Fluency in English. Knowledge of Dutch is not required but useful in communication
