The Technical Department in Bergen op Zoom is the epicenter of engineering expertise, catering to the chemical and compounding plants. Where experts provide indispensable knowledge to the facilities. The department encompasses multiple subgroups, including Process Engineering, Asset Engineering, Process Control, Inspection & Compliance, Process Safety Management, Project Development & Control, and Energy & Sustainability. The Asset Engineering team excels in designing assets, creating asset life plans, defining operational parameters, continuous performance monitoring, and offering invaluable feedback to Operations and Maintenance. Within the Asset Engineering Department, six disciplines converge: Civil, Static, Rotating, Instrumentation & Analyzers, Electrical, and Asset Performance.
Your responsibility includes:
1. Specification and Procedure Management
Collaborate with Installation Responsible Persons to update and create specifications and procedures in line with NEN-EN 50110/NEN 3140 standards.
2. Performance Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance
Monitor the performance of electrical assets, predict equipment failures, and proactively address potential issues through effective equipment strategy.
3. Asset Planning
Develop multi-year asset plans for electrical equipment to ensure long-term reliability and performance.
4. Failure Analysis and Recommendations
Conduct investigations and failure analyses to identify issues and develop appropriate recommendations to maintain the integrity of assets.
5. Turnaround Support
Review turnaround scopes and provide support during execution for all electrical equipment. Offer immediate technical assistance and recommendations for unexpected findings during turnaround periods.
6. Project Leadership
Lead and/or participate in the Critical Design Phase (CDP) of projects related to electrical equipment.
7. Best Practices and Standards
Define and implement best practices, technical alerts, and SABIC Manufacturing Standards for electrical equipment.
8. Feasibility Assessment
Evaluate the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering tests, products, or equipment when data is insufficient, or testing is advisable.
Functie-eisen
You should possess the following skill set:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a combination of relevant education and practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience, demonstrating expertise in reliability, maintenance, and engineering, particularly in LV switchgear within the oil & gas, petrochemical, and energy production sectors.
- Proficiency in maintenance and engineering processes.
- In-depth knowledge of Dutch codes and standards related to low-voltage installations and electrical safety, such as NEN 1010, NEN_EN 60204, NEN_EN 50110, and NEN 3140. Possessing STIPEL certification is highly preferred.
- A well-developed risk-based analytical approach and a proven track record of effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
