This role is part of the European Primary Transport management team, which is responsible for forecasting and planning of intercompany primary shipments across Europe. The International Transport Planner is responsible to manage the primary transport flows and creates the forecast and planning for future required transport. In addition, this role works together with local teams to optimize the flows within the current network.
Your core tasks in a nutshell:
•Oversee and manage transportation forecasting (12-24 months) and planning (1-4 weeks) & execution (<1 week) for all lanes within his/her specific cluster of lanes;
•Daily execution of transportation planning activities include carrier selection per lane, truck confirmation, load consolidation, load planning and alignment with warehousing team who will load truck;
•Reviews and ensures shipments have been successfully planned and successfully delivered;
•Partner effectively with customer service representatives (for documentation and incident management), plan team in the hub and with local warehousing, Customer Service and Transport planning team. Close collaboration with Procurement (tendering, supplier’s management);
•Evaluates cluster of lanes operational planning performance and seeks to optimize transportation (e.g., mode shift and route optimization) and execution activities based on reports & dashboards of Primary Transport Analyst role;
•Identify, select and run continuous improvement projects to improve the operations on the long term (sustainability, cost, efficiency, network design), also with local domestic transport teams.
Functie-eisen
The ideal recipe:
•Bachelor Degree or equivalent, preferably in Management, Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field;
•You have an excellent command of the English language, written as well as spoken;
•Experience in consumer goods and service industry;
•Experience with lane planning is a favorable plus but not a must have;
•Good understanding/experience with TMS
•Experience working in a shared services, process driven or service center environment.
This new challenging role is created for a professional aiming to grow to a teamleader position on a short term.
The role is ideally attractive for a professional at present working within a 3rd party logistics environment in a role as transport planner.
Travelling will be part of the job such as travelling to Barcelona!

Arbeidsvoorwaarden
An excellent remuneration package deal is offered! A maximum salary of €65k including holiday money will be rewarded for the right candidate.
On top of this a 5% employee incentive program is included in this package deal.
