Yacht is in search for a Business Development Director Europe. You will get a contract directly at our client, a world-leading 4PL provider of comprehensive chemical logistics management, technology and supply chain consulting services.

With offices in North America and Europe, the company solves its customers’ most vital logistics challenges by leveraging a broad range of industry expertise, best-of-breed technology, and a personalized, high-touch approach to deliver measurable, sustainable value. The chemical freight marketplace sees the demand for ever-shorter cycle times, heightened customer service needs, and rising operational costs. As the chosen 4PL, this organization provides clients a full transportation management and logistics program for its Global operation. All carriers will continue to be managed by our client. The program includes implementing supply chain changes that have a profoundly positive impact on long-term costs, improve service, and fill gaps in expertise with a proven team specializing in the chemical industry.

The role of a Senior Business Development Manager is to identify, contact, and develop relationships with existing and potential customers at the decision-making level in order to achieve revenue growth. You work closely with national and international sales and colleagues, identify new opportunities, develop and implement sales strategies and customer offers. 


The ideal candidate for this position should have substantive knowledge and experience in European transport and logistics services, preferably in chemical logistics. In summary, the role requires:

·       A higher education level, a master or bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, technical business administration or comparable educational background

·       10+ years of experience in international transport and logistics

·       A broad experience in sales and business development, negotiating and closing larger deals

·       Well connected in the European Transport Market

·       Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

·       Excellent written and verbal business communication skills in English, Dutch and preferably German and/or French


You have highly negotiation, conflict-resolution and presentation skills. You have a strong focus, drive, commercial flair and a customer-oriented attitude and willingness to work internationally.


You will get a contract directly at our client.
