Introduction to the job
The Wafer Tables are crucial to make lithography happen against the ever demanding specs on overlay, focus, and throughput while ensuring high availability.
If you are curious about understanding what drives customer performance in our scanner and the role that the Wafer Table, a complex piece of hardware that touches the customer wafers, plays in it, then a job as a Wafer Table Sequence engineer in our group could be a perfect match!
Role and responsibilities
You are part of a team of engineers working on developing, qualifying, monitoring, analyzing and improving the Wafer Tables and their interactions with wafers to meet the system specifications and operational requirements.

Together with the technical lead (the architect) you will work on designing, optimizing and testing the wafer (un)loading sequence(s) to enable meeting the scanner performance specifications: overlay, focus and throughput.

As a sequence engineer, you will enable one or more of the involved projects and your main responsibilities will initially be to:

· Discuss the performance specifications with the architect.
· Use existing Multiphysics models as input for your sequence design.
· Test the sequence and optimize it on our experimental setup. Troubleshoot and improve the setup when needed.
· Execute the sequence on the Scanner, analyze the results and provide recommendations.
· Monitor the (un)loading sequence performance in the field
· Investigate the (un)loading sequence related issues and propose solutions together with other competences.

Education and experience
· Master in Mechanical Engineering or Physics with a mechatronics background.
· Proven theoretical and experimental experience in the field of mechatronics engineering.
· Good MATLAB knowledge as main data analysis software
· Some knowledge of FEM / Multiphysics modelling: Understanding and using pre-built models
· Experience in Statistics/reliability is a plus.
Working at the cutting edge of tech, you’ll always have new challenges and new problems to solve – and working together is the only way to do that. You won’t work in a silo. Instead, you’ll be part of a creative, dynamic work environment where you’ll collaborate with supportive colleagues. There is always space for creative and unique points of view. You’ll have the flexibility and trust to choose how best to tackle tasks and solve problems.
To thrive in this job, you’ll need the following skills:
· Highly proactive and collaborative, self-propelling and comfortable with challenging our technical leadership.
· Excellent (English) communication skills both verbal and written.
· Strong analytical ability combined with a pragmatic attitude to ensure progress against limited data
· Strong drive for quality and data driven conclusions
