For our client DAF Trucks located in Eindhoven, we are frequently looking for:
- Engine Performance Calibration Engineer
- Integration Performance Calibration Engineer
- OBD Calibration Engineer
As an Engine Performance Calibration engineer you will be part of a team that calibrates DAF's best in class engines for optimal performance under all conditions within the defined constraints. You will develop Diesel Heavy-Duty Engines with a focus on engine performance and ECU function calibration. You perform the performance validation, analyze and solve deviations. You deliver feedback and apply improvements.
If you rather would like to become an Integration Performance Engineer you will be responsible for the complete system, You apply data analysis to monitor and improve the Engine, Engine After-treatment system, On-Board diagnostics calibration. You will interact with the different calibration groups to achieve high-level requirements. To fulfill this role you must have good global knowledge about the system and on top of that a real specialization of one of the sub-systems.
A great analytical capacity is required to combine information from different sources on configurations and applications and their impact
As a OBD Calibration Engineer you will be involved in a digital communication system that real-time snapshot of Engine and Aftertreatment performance to aid service technicians during repair. On-Board Diagnostics is about making a global impact while examining the tradeoffs between certification and robustness. You calibrate the fuel injection and misfire detection algorithms to ensure the engine is compliant to the
OBD regulations. You support field data analysis and the OBD certification process. For this job you should have experience in developing tools to control, maintain and optimize the calibration process.
The ideal candidate brings along the following background:
- • Master's degree in Automotive Technology or Mechanical Engineering
• Engine testing experience, preferably on heavy-duty truck engines
- Data acquisition
- Data analytics
- ATI / Inca
- Experience on heavy duty truck engine calibration is a pre
- Creating test cases and vehicle testing
- Matlab experience (modeling and scripting) is a pre
- Knowledge of statistics
