Summary of Position

The Senior Coordinator, Production Control leads the Production control department and is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the daily order volume in an effective and efficient way to support the total operation within the warehouse, including reporting, forecasting, training, and labor planning.

Tasks and Responsibilities

·     Responsible for the Production Control department, oversees all activities and processes within the department

·     Coordinates the workforce planning of departments in the ESC (European Service Center) based on volume forecast and productivity. This includes monitoring available manpower and advising the Manager Operations Support on priorities related to manpower.

·     Leads the central reporting for all operational and financial budget activities of the operations department

·     Coordinates and oversees all wave management activities control in PkMs (WMS) and WCS

·     Responsible for volume forecasting for all operation departments

·     Manage and maintain the SOP’s (Standard Operational Procedures) of all internal warehouse processes. Follow-up with supervisors for process changes. 

·     Monitors the correct use of the Kronos system (T&A system) by all operational departments/users. Initiate, develop and implement new features that support the business

·     Coordinates operational system activities/issues between the IS department and Operations

·     Assists the Manager Operations Support in all logistics operation activities were needed including driving productivity of the logistics operations departments and identifies opportunities to increase overall productivity

·     Partners and collaborates with all warehouse Supervisors to ensure overarching targets and goals of Logistics Operations are achieved 

·     Trains, motivates and develops the Production Control team to improve performance and achieve targets, this includes performance management

·     Participates in and/or leads projects to achieve process improvements within the department and/or Logistics function.

Candidate Profile

·     Academic level in Logistics / Distribution or equivalent relevant experience

·     Minimum 3 years’ distribution or warehouse experience, preferably in similar role

·     Knowledge of warehouse processes and warehouse management systems

·     Experience in training, motivating and developing team members

Competenties

Clear and effective communication skills with diverse audience, from management to warehouse associates

·     Strong eye for details and past experience with databases and reporting structures

·     Ability to build relationships with other departments, bring others along, coordinate activities in an engaging way / no silo mentality

·     Creative problem solving skills and ability to thing outside the box in order to maximize efficiency of resolutions

·     Fluent in verbal and written communication in Dutch and/or English
