Founded in 1984, ASML is the world's leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or chips. ASML has its headquarters in Veldhoven the Netherlands and has R&D and manufacturing operations in North America, Asia and the Netherlands.

The ASML IT division supports information management, workplace and collaboration facilities, infrastructure, automation and optimization of key business processes across ASML. The ICT infrastructure, hardware and applications are absolutely mission-critical for almost all ASML’s internal- and external activities. Currently the ASML IT department is in an Agile Transformation. SAFe is chosen as the scaling framework.

This role is situated in IT End-User Services, which is part of the ‘Core IT’ domain. Our people are proud to be best in class in enabling ASML's employees in their challenge to deliver high class services to our customers around the world. The Core IT portfolio exists of 8 ARTs and is growing. The teams are a mixture of young talent and senior specialists with a strong focus on delivering business value for our stakeholders.

You will be part of the Agile Release Train below:

Portfolio Management & Execution

Portfolio Management & Execution is responsible for delivery of state of the art Collaboration and Resource Management tooling solutions. These solutions support the strategic planning process, resource management and portfolio execution. In the current situation the solutions are widely used across ASML and management of these solutions is scattered within the Organization with fragmented team responsibilities. With this new ART we create more focus within IT for both DEV and OPS around these solutions, Moreover the ART explicitly focusses on innovation to continuously improve the quality of its services.

Examples of the solutions currently in scope: Bizz design, Jira (-Align), Project Online, Change scout, Aris Archimate and the Atlassian-Confluence suite.

Your responsibilities

As the Chief Product Owner you’re End2End responsible for the Agile Release Train deliverables.

You identify customer needs (business and IT) and develop the program vision and roadmap.

Moreover you engage all stakeholders and prioritize what the Agile Release Train needs to deliver in the next Program Increment by ordering the ART backlog

A grasp of your responsibilities and deliverables:

Own the vision, roadmap and ART backlog

Align with stakeholders on content and prioritization

Ensure the ART Backlog is visible, maintained and documented

Align the ART Program Increment objectives with POs

Ensure the entire ART understands the context and direction

Decide whether ART backlog items are done

Manage priorities of escalations during the Program Increment (PI)

Education and experience

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced professional who has a strong strategic planning and decision making track record. Continuous ‘near term road mapping’, balancing priorities on ART level and setting priorities for large groups of high skilled people are key. Having acted in complex agile environments is key for success. As a CPO you align ordering of the ART backlog with all relevant stakeholders (Business and IT). You create a common understanding of the business priorities of the ART for everyone. Whilst doing that you demonstrate and communicate MVP thinking.

You collaborate closely with the Release Train Engineer and System Architect (to balance enabler work). Furthermore you contribute to ART planning & forecasting and participate in System Demos and Inspect and Adapt rituals.

Summarized:

At least 5 years of experience in the program management domain;

At least 3 years of experience acting in similar positions in an agile setting;

Experienced acting on program portfolio level and familiar with collaboration and resource management tooling solutions;

Technically savvy, strong focus on IT End-User Services wherein Portfolio Management;

Experience in complex environments with stakeholders on multiple organizational levels;

SAFe 5.0 experience, certified;

MSc. or Bsc. In the area of Information Management or equivalent.

De belangrijkste leverancier van ASML is Zeiss, een fabrikant van lenzen en optische componenten. Het aandeel van Zeiss in de totale inkoopkosten van ASML is iets minder dan 30%. Vanwege de grote wederzijdse belangen zijn beide bedrijven een strategisch alliantie aangegaan; deze kan alleen verbroken worden als een van de partijen drie jaar te voren opzegt. ASML geeft veel geld uit aan onderzoek en ontwikkeling;
