Yacht Life Sciences has a vacancy for a Scientific Reviewer at our client Janssen Vaccines & Prevention in Leiden (working from home is possible).
As a Scientific Reviewer you will be expected to perform the scientific reviews in the LIMS of J&J. These reviews will cover everything that is related to the sample analysis performed by the technicians: from reagents to calculations and from assays/method handling to QC data. During the review all the errors that have been flagged need to be processed in order to determine if the results are valid or not. This is done according to internal written procedures. Important is to be aware of the strict and compliant environment that the team operates in. This is a crucial step in the process and does not allow for any interpretations. Following the procedures and being compliant with GCLP is key.
- Bachler or Master degree (candidates with a PhD will be considered as overqualified)
- >2 years work experience with immunological assays including Virus Neutralization Assay, ELISA and ELISPOT
- Experience with LIMS systems
- Experience in GMP and/ or GCLP environment
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English
- The work is mostly done during normal working hours, but also on night or weekend hours, depending on the need
- High level of compliance
- Quality-minded, affinity with QA and/or GCLP
- Can deliver a high level of quality in a time-efficient manner
- Can work under high pressure
- Be critical and precise

Department: The Clinical Immunology department is responsible for the immunological evaluation of vaccine candidates in clinical trials, and for the generation of immunogenicity data that is submitted to regulatory authorities for the approval of vaccines. In close collaboration with the Biomarker group and clinical development group, the clinical immunology department executes the immunostrategies and ensures the development, and validation of the required immunological assays as well as clinical sample analysis and data reporting. Typical assays to determine the immunogenicity of vaccines are the antibody ELISA, T cell ELISpot, Intracellular Cytokine Staining, and virus neutralization assays.
