Together with the ICT support team and the Security and Network Manager, you will be responsible for the overall security, and the continuity of the total ICT Infrastructure. In this role, you are assisting to develop an overall organizational security policy and enforces that policy to protect the technical infrastructure from security threats or unauthorized access. You will also assists to develop an architectural overview on network level, implements the agreed architecture and maintains the total network infrastructure on a day to day basis.
KEY RESULT AREAS
1. Architecture Security & Network
Assists in the development of an overall organizational security policy with taking into account legal regulations by national and/or European laws. Enforce and control the security policy in cooperation with the Network & Security Manager and Cygnific executive management. Develop an overall standard network architecture framework which supports Cygnific’ s business needs at all time.
Write and agree with the Network & Security Manager and executive management a security policy which complies to Cygnific’ s standard and safeguard national and European laws.
Participate in developing supporting processes and procedures to safeguard the developed policies.
Participate in developing an overall network architecture in a framework which does allow Cygnific to operate independently, but also together with the AF/KL group, and which supports third party business as well.
2. Operations Security & Network management
Control and manage the security policy and respond on incidents and/or violations. Take ownership of the ICT network infrastructure by improving its effectiveness, efficiency and ensuring that its performance is according to internal guidelines and needs. Keep all related regulations, configurations and procedures up-to-date and well documented.
Maintain the security policy and keep it up-to-date.
Maintain the processes and procedures in place to safeguard internal and external information security and PCI-DSS compliance status.
Monitor the ICT infrastructure on security incidents and respond on violations from within and/or outside the domains.
Advise on, install, maintain and troubleshoot a wide variety of network and security hardware.
Implement, test and maintain fallback scenarios and back-up procedures on Cygnific’s network infrastructure.
Pro-actively monitor the active network components like switches, firewalls and routers.
Keep documentation on operational procedures, network infrastructure up-to-date, and distribute among all stakeholders.
Maintain an overall internet protocol plan in line with 3rd parties.
Take responsibility for physical cable management.
Build network performance reports for business customers, systems management and telecoms group.
Plan and execute all network related requested changes in time, take care of the necessary adjustment of documentation and ensure that all stakeholders are informed.
Plan and manage the infrastructure configuration and capacity to ensure seamless operation in an always changing business environment.
Keep up-to-date on new network technologies and advise on possible application within Cygnific.
Delivers support to colleagues and other departments.
Deliver 2nd line support on troubleshooting incidents.
Participate in ICT related projects.
4. Continuous improvement
Signal and take action upon malfunctions in processes and procedures and propose improvements.
Analyze the malfunction in process or procedure and determine the cause.
Propose improvements in processes and procedures for efficiency.
Make sure changes and improvements are communicated to all parties involved.
Safeguard changes and improvements are embedded in business as usual.
Follow developments in own area of expertise and look for ways how to implement in own processes, procedures and/or policies.
Participate in a constructive manner in improvement sessions/activities/projects.
Polytechnic think and work level (HBO/WO)
2+ years’ experience as Network and/or Security engineer
Good knowledge of Information & Communication Technology
Good knowledge of networking hardware and software
Knowledge on monitoring tools
Checkpoint, Cisco, ITIL, CCNA/CCNP certified
Understanding of working on an ICT department in a commercial and service-oriented 24/7 environment
Good knowledge of the English and Dutch language (both written and spoken)
