Due to the rapid growth of ASML in the past years, and growth expected in the coming years, the need has increased for a solid and scalable Learning & Development organization. As technology advances and diversity and complexity of ASMLs products is growing, knowledge-sharing and learning – shared and connected across sectors - becomes even more essential. Part of this program are the workstreams for enhancing learning & knowledge management infrastructure and dashboards. These workstreams will enable the employee and management to drive their development, find information, and to learn from each other while supported by innovative technology.

Specifically, the workstreams will:

  • Implement short term infrastructure improvements with respect to configuration, content, taxonomy, integrations and housekeeping;
  • Conduct detailed review of current infrastructure including recommendations for improvement in the short-term and long term;
  • Create and implement the long term plan for ASML’s future-proof Learning and Knowledge Management infrastructure;
  • Define and implement Learning infrastructure governance model in alignment with HR IT and learning centers including standards to ensure consistent and uniform way of working;
  • Establish data & reporting requirements and matrix of data sources;
  • Build integrations and databases of all learning content sources;
  • Build a dashboard prototype for validation including a tailored solution for a larger scope. This will be used to generate (cross-)sector insights before building the final dashboards and embedment of a sustainable process and decision-making governance in organization.

Your challenge

For a large Learning and Knowledge Management program we are looking for an IT analyst for the first phases in the program. To further strengthen our People development, Learning and Knowledge management roadmap we perform a software selection and prepare for an execution phase. Based on business requirements, non-functional requirements and principles, we select the best solution to support our Learning roadmap.

In parallel our learning and knowledge management application landscape is to be detailed out for next phase program activities. Beyond these deliverables the program is still being shaped and as IT analyst you could potentially remain part of further project activities.

Job Description

A description of your activities and responsibilities in this first project phase is below:

  • Translate business requirements into IT requirements (both functional and non-functional)
  • Understand technical aspects and able to explain them to business stakeholders in understandable language
  • Write out user stories, incl acceptance criteria and definition of done
  • Contribute to the delivery of an application landscape relevant for this program;
  • Contribute to the software selection process, focus is primarily on non-functional requirements (Compliance, Information Security, IT Security, Privacy, Access and Authentication) and challenging business requirements to ensure we select the solution for ASML.
  • Interface with technical counterparts from IT or vendor to understand if and how requirements map onto the vendor software

Functie-eisen

Education and experience

  • Bachelor or master degree in field of IT or Technology;
  • 3 - 8 years’ experience as Business Process Analyst, Business Consultant or similar positions;
  • Experience in translating Business Requirements into IT Requirements and designing the correct solution (direction) corresponding these business requirements;
  • Experience in translating Non-functional requirements into solution and project deliverables;
  • Experience in software selection processes, and comparing vendors on ASML requirements.

ASML is een Nederlands hightechbedrijf en een van de belangrijkste leveranciers van machines voor de halfgeleiderindustrie, in het bijzonder steppers en scanners, die worden gebruikt bij het maken van chips. Klanten zijn veelal chipproducenten. Het hoofdkantoor en bedrijvencomplex van ASML staat in Veldhoven, waar zowel research and development en assemblage in cleanrooms plaatsvindt. Het bedrijf heeft tevens zestig servicepunten in veertien landen ter ondersteuning van de plaatsing en levering van machines en reserve-onderdelen.

ASML is ontstaan uit een joint venture van ASM International en Koninklijke Philips. ASML levert wereldwijd, maar de meeste van haar klanten zijn gevestigd in Azië. In 2011 werd 66% van de omzet in die regio behaald, 25% in de Verenigde Staten en iets minder dan 9% in Europa. De grootste klant was verantwoordelijk voor een kwart van de totale omzet. De belangrijkste leverancier van ASML is Zeiss, een fabrikant van lenzen en optische componenten. Het aandeel van Zeiss in de totale inkoopkosten van ASML is iets minder dan 30%. Vanwege de grote wederzijdse belangen zijn beide bedrijven een strategisch alliantie aangegaan; deze kan alleen verbroken worden als een van de partijen drie jaar te voren opzegt. ASML geeft veel geld uit aan onderzoek en ontwikkeling;
