Job Mission

As a Connectivity Designer, you are defining, realizing, qualifying, managing and maintaining various electronic concepts and products for both existing and new ASML products. Furthermore you contribute on defining the next generation of these products in close cooperation with the architect.

The concepts and products we mainly focus on are cables, racks, cabinets, PCBA (mainly passive/interconnections PCBA) and visualizing this into schematics. 

Job Description

The Connectivity Designer is responsible for the following:

-Define, document and maintain designs of the electrical modules and electrical infrastructure.

-Support the outsourcing of development activities at co-developers.

-Contribute to the multidisciplinary roadmap concerning the electronics within the ASML products.

-Transfer knowledge to production- and service-engineers.

-Contribute to analysis and solution of reliability issues.


Bachelor degree or higher in electrical engineering or equivalent.
-Preferably some years of experience as designer in a similar role, including experience with working in multidisciplinary design teams to establish agreement on specifications.
-Previous and recent experience with ASML standards and Ways of Work is highly appreciated, either as a former ASML employee or contractor.
-Broad technical knowledge of electronics with basic knowledge of physics, mechanics, mechatronics and software.

-For this position you will have a market conform salary and other allowances according the collective labour agreement

-Possibility is that you can be taken over by ASML in the near future.

-Intern at ASML you will learn on the job from day one.

-Within Yacht you will have a responsible HR Manager to make sure you are well placed and who takes care of your development

-Yacht has an onboarding and Expat department to facilitate in IND procedures and finding a place to stay etc.


ASML is a Dutch high-tech company and one of the main suppliers of machines for the semiconductor industry, in particular steppers and scanners, which are used in the manufacture of chips. Customers are often chip producers. ASML's head office and business complex is located in Veldhoven, where both research and development and assembly in cleanrooms takes place. The company also has sixty service points in fourteen countries to support the installation and delivery of machines and spare parts.

ASML originated from a joint venture of ASM International and Koninklijke Philips. ASML delivers worldwide, but most of its customers are based in Asia. In 2011, 66% of sales were generated in that region, 25% in the United States and just under 9% in Europe. The largest customer was responsible for a quarter of the total turnover. ASML's main supplier is Zeiss, a manufacturer of lenses and optical components. Zeiss's share in ASML's total purchasing costs is slightly less than 30%. Because of the great mutual interests, both companies have entered into a strategic alliance; it can only be broken if one of the parties gives notice three years in advance. ASML spends a lot of money on research and development
