For our Healthy Sleep Solutions (HSS) Department at Philips in Drachten we are looking for a Validation & Verification Engineer who will conduct design activities, including creation and conducting automated test activities, as an active member of project teams designing and developing the newest wake up lights.. Software applications are developed for the Web, Client Server, Android and IOS platforms.
The wake up lights are being developed more and more to help people analyse their whole sleeping process guided by apps. The challenge in this role is making sure all the software components are communicating with each other: device, application, back end and module.
The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and verifying product requirements and designs, and testing the products at various levels to ensure that the products meet the requirements and intended use.
Analyzing product and sub-system requirements
Analyzing and verifying consumer (medical) device designs
Writing detailed test procedures that evaluate consumer devices and systems against documented (software) requirements
Executing test procedures on a Web, Client Server or Mobile phone platform
Maintaining and controlling test execution records using good lab practices
Technical writing, including development of test reports
Documenting and maintaining defects in online tools like TFS and TRACK
Hosting Defects Management Boards to align on priority, ownership and severity
Using Java or C#, writing detailed automated test procedures that evaluate medical devices and systems against documented mechanical, electrical and/or software requirements
Conducting statistical analysis of test results
Learning new technologies and gaining an understanding of system architectures
BS in Engineering, Computer, or other Science discipline, or equivalent
Experience in embedded and/or app software and testing.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work as a member of a team, solve problems, meet commitments, and ensure quality.
