As a Consumer Researcher in the Product Research Center (PRC) department your challenge is to ensure consumer satisfaction with our products in the market. Therefore you need to understand what consumers desire in our products, the so-called consumer insights and translate these into clear user requirements and validate the consumer needs during the project development. This is defined as a key-pillar in our product development approach. Can you help us to strengthen our World Class position, by pursuing the next level for our consumer satisfaction in our products.
As Consumer Researcher you will steer the business by understanding and representing the end-user in our innovation projects. You are a member of a cross-functional product development team.
o You will focus on defining consumer insights, based on in-depth understanding of consumer needs.
o Through performing consumer research and testing, you will steer a project team in translating the consumer insights into clear user requirements for our innovative product solutions.
o You will validate consumer satisfaction by using our internal test center and full-scale external testing programs, to guarantee successful market introduction.

The Product Research Center (PRC) drives growing understanding of the consumer needs. The PRC focuses as part of a multidisciplinary team on development of the desirable product experience in Shaving, Grooming and Male Skin Care, by performing a range of explorative, qualitative and quantitative research with our own sensory panel or through external research agencies
The ability to work in a dynamic team setting on a variety of exciting research topics. We will also support your personal and professional development.
Are you a highly talented Consumer Researcher with conceptual and analytical skills and an in-depth understanding of the drivers of ‘consumer delight’, working for a leading firm? Can you bring together the right balance of analytical skills, combined with knowledge of consumer psychology, a problem solving attitude and pragmatism to turn your research into user requirements? And next to that do you have;
o An university degree in consumer oriented educations, like Design for Interaction, Human Technology, Industrial Design, Sensory Research.
o 3 to 5 years’ experience in product research, consumer science, industrial design, psychology or a product development.
o Technical background with consumer mindset to be able to see the link between technology and consumers.
o Affinity for consumer research methodologies and sound understanding of the underlying statistics.
o team player and translate consumer needs in compelling motivation for clear user requirements
o Good communication and influencing skills
o Conceptual and analytical skills: you should be able to process a range of different data
o Curious orientation towards consumers and customers: you have an outward focus
o Excellent planning skills: you should know how to manage your advisory role in the project team
o Proactive attitude: you should be able to take the lead and proactively represent the end-user in our innovation processes.
