Main activities are:
Further understanding of gelling (rheological) behavior, the improvement of the eco-profile of the prints and alternative building blocks for inks.
Within the Technology Development Group the aim is to improve the existing ink technology and develop inks with new functionality. Based on available information/concepts and new developed concepts from both internal and external sources new strategies have to be defined to improve or create the new standard for our future ink.
As well as performing tests and building concepts in order to gain insights in gel behavior, finding the right components for the ink and understanding the relevant mechanisms needed for the improvements are important drivers for the research group.
The candidate will be working in a team of 3 chemical and 1 physics professionals.
- MSc in Chemistry or a (hands-on!) Phd Chemistry
- Work experience in the coating, paint or adhesive industry. Preferably in a Research environment
- Knowledge of and experience with Matlab is preferred
- To be successful the candidate is hands-on, proactive and creative
- Candidate has profound knowledge - verbal and written - of English. Knowledge of Dutch language is advantageous
- Candidate is permissioned to work in the Netherlands, and able to provide, if requested, a certificate of conduct

The Consumables & Processes departments are, as part of the R&D organization, responsible for the development of printing (imaging) processes and consumable materials (inks, toners, printheads) to be applied in innovative printing systems.
The UV gelling Development is part of this department and responsible for developing new curing concepts and inks to provide the future roll to roll platforms with new technologies. The team is working in close collaboration with colleagues that are responsible for engineering the next inkjet printer.
Within this team we are looking for a Formulation Specialist
