The Consumables & Processes departments are responsible for development of printing (imaging) processes and consumable materials (inks, toners, print heads) to be applied in innovative prints systems.
An important subject in the technology development is the interface between print head and ink. All PH materials have to be compatible with a variety of inks. Some critical PH materials are thin adhesive layers and sealants. To strengthen the interactions team, we are looking for a material-ink interaction researcher. You have experience with reliability testing and test method development.
With a background in material science, polymer science or chemical engineering. The interaction researcher will be part of a small team of interaction researchers, who work closely together with a multi disciplinary team that forms the print head development project.
Develop material tests to validate compatibility of PH materials with ink and provide insight in material interaction mechanisms which could lead to failure (root cause analyses).
Accurately perform material ink interaction tests and statistical analysis and develop and perform reliability tests with regard to chemical interactions of materials.
- a BSc / Bachelor Chemistry;
- 1-3 years of work experience, working with adhesives/thin layer technology, sealants or ink;
- Knowledge of and experience with reliability testing and design for six sigma is preferred;
- Knowledge of and experience with Minitab and Weibull is preferred as well;
- Hands-on, creative and pragmatic attitude;
- Profound knowledge - verbal and written - of English. Knowledge of Dutch is advantageous.
