As a Senior System Engineer you will translate requirements from the stakeholders to solutions that best fit the MR systems architecture, and can be realized with the given time frame and budget, with proper quality. Furthermore you will be responsible for the selection of appropriate technologies in product realization, which need to be in line with the approved reference architecture and technology roadmaps, and need to satisfy all approved requirements. You are accountable for taking the lead in driving forward realization towards closure. In this position we are strongly looking for Requirements Management improvement leadership skills to drive also the full organiSation on this forward to a next level. You are responsible for the design and implementation of a system, subsystem, system function, or assessments and improvements of a system aspect in the allocated responsibility of technical part of the MR systems you are responsible for driving pro-actively reliability up, warranty down, costs down, etc. one of the main sub-systems or system aspects. You will take ownership of the standards and the working methods and propagates them through the departments / programs. Assure that the team and all its members functions effectively, giving direction / guidance when necessary, showing situational leadership. Take technology leadership co-ownership in driving Program dependency optimization. Take a cross-program view to optimize realization (e.g. technical program dependencies, stream transparency, overlapping/related deliverables, etc.). Provide innovative ideas for your domain; write patent proposals and conference contributions. Apart from knowing what is happening in the world, the SME should also contribute in a creative sense, thus improving the IP position of the business. Pro-actively supports/drives forward realization of strategic objectives & focus points for improvement of MR & Systems Engineering.
You will be part of the Global Magnetic Resonance (MR) business line within Philips Healthcare, which develops, markets, and manufactures Magnetic Resonance Imaging systems for medical diagnosis and intervention. Our customers are in the radiology domain operating in a wide variety of hospitals across the globe. You will be a core team member of the Systems Engineering group in R&D, which is responsible for system design and realization. Close collaboration is required with all other disciplines (e.g. Marketing, Applications, Service, Operations, etc.), and Technology Development in R&D. You will be stationed in Best, The Netherlands.
