Goal of the role
For the next release of these inkjet printers, the aim is to realize an engine with additional functionality and at a lower cost price. Goal is to invent, develop and validate this new functionality as an optical design specialist.
 

Functie-eisen

Who are we looking for?

  • Candidate has a MSc or Phd in physics or mechanics
  • At least 5-10 years of experience and profound knowledge of optical design basics!
  • Strong analytical and pragmatic level of working,
  • Solid theoretical base that enables a highly experimental way of working/approach.
  • Knowledge of and experience with optical design software is required; Zemax is preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience with 3DCAD is preferred
  • To be successful the candidate is communicative, driven, creative.
  • Candidate has profound knowledge - verbal and written - of English or Dutch.
  • Candidate is permissioned to work in the Netherlands, and able to provide, if requested, a certificate of conduct

Department
Analytical and Pragmatic way of working! The department is part of the R&D environment and responsible for development of printing (imaging) processes and consumable materials (inks, toners, printheads, …) to be applied in innovative print systems.
 
As a Mechanical Optical Designer you will become part of a multidisciplinary team that is working on the technological development of the next generation print engines. The team is working in close collaboration with colleagues from the project that are responsible for engineering the next inkjet printer.
